Voting
You can vote without an account. Votes are anonymous: we do not ask for your name, phone number or email to vote. To stop duplicate voting we store a random voter ID in a cookie and in your browser, a one-way hash of your IP address, and a one-way hash of basic device details (such as screen size and time zone). These hashes cannot be turned back into your IP address or device details.
Accounts
If you sign up to create polls, we store your name, email address and a securely hashed password. We do not sell or share them.
Cookies, analytics and advertising
We use cookies to remember your vote and keep you logged in. We also use Google Analytics and the Meta (Facebook) Pixel to measure visits and the performance of our ads, and to show our ads to people who visited this site. These services receive page visits and the fact that a vote was cast. For some non-political polls, such as product polls, they may also receive the option you chose, so we can show you related ads. For political and election polls, your choice is never shared.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can control ad personalisation in your Google and Facebook account settings.
